A principal of one of our member firms, while working for a prior firm, played a major role in the geotechnical aspects during site investigations and construction of the Pepperdine University, Malibu Campus, shown above. Work for this major land development projects required cutting large hills and filling large canyons. Since work had to be completed in a record time for the opening of the University, grading work had to be performed around the clock in three eight-hour shifts.


 


  One of our member firms performed geotechnical mapping of the University of California, Irvine Campus and adjacent properties, as well as the foundation investigation of the Medical Building site and review of geotechnical reports submitted by other firms. Depicted to the right is one of the medical buildings, and below is the Student Center.
